Changes In The Living Room

While searching for art prints to use on the wall above the T.V. in our family room I found The Graphics Fairy .  It is a blog that has a great collection of vintage images you can print out for free.

I printed and framed these natural history prints of antique seashells. I love that some of the shells are the exact same shade of blue found in the painting above the fireplace.

These two pictures were taken after a very looong day so you will find that the round coffee table is not centered and that there are two Wii remotes somewhere on the floor. My boys are always playing in this room so things get moved around a lot in there and I have decided to embrace the imperfections during this busy season of my life. J

So what do you think of this new addition to the family room? Should the prints stay or should they go?
All opinions welcome! :-)

I think they look great over the tv. Gives you something to look at when the tv is not on and helps to fill in that space. I love it when colors go so perfectly like that!

They look very nice there! I'm glad you posted your living room "as is" and that it gets used all the time - that's what it's there for, isn't it?

Love them and I really think they should stay, they go well with your other picture above the mantel!
Yes, embrace those days while they are little...they go by so very fast!

I say they must stay, definitely! They are perfect there, in my opinion! This is a beautiful room, you have done an amazing job of decorating it and the prints add to the perfection of the room, I think.
And you are so welcome, I enjoy seeing your pretty house and hearing your stories about your family.

I vote 'stay'! They look so great with the eclectic collection of vintage-y and cottage-y things. What a great room! I'd feel right at home there.

Love the prints above the t.v. It's those little details that make a house a home. I'm your latest follower. When you have a moment I would love it if you stopped by my family's site.

Well it sounds like everyone thinks you should keep those pictures right where they are. I think they look good and the size is just right for that space. :)

I love those prints. The Graphics Fairy surely provides a needed resource. I have used her urn/flowers print in a swivel frame.
Thanks for commenting on my blog.

I think they should definitely stay...but I love the entire wall so I'm not exactly impartial. I think it could be my favorite "TV" wall ever. I am trying to figure out how to make the Besta shelves work in my room. I would have to paint them my creamy white. I could be planning a trip to IKEA soon. :o)

I didn't realize the graphics fairy's images were large enough to print out in such big sizes! The shell prints look fabulous on your wall and I have say I didn't notice any of the things you mentioned that happend after a long day. All I thought was wow what a gorgeous and relaxing looking room. I will never be able to show you my family room, you'd be horrified at my lack of decorating talent! Yours seriously looks like a magazine photo.

I just found your blog and have spent my morning going through all of your old posts and reading them. You are very talented! I am also a homeschool mom who enjoys DIY projects and decorating, and I am so impressed that you find the time to make your home so beautiful. You've inspired me. I can't wait to paint my Craig's List armoire and create some quotation wall art.
